One Persondune Buggy Plans

The Adventures of Randolph Reed

The file date shows May 8, 1999. I did not remember such a long time had passed since I finished a short story, thought vaguely for a comic book, which recounted the adventures of an engineer of the future (or at least belonging to a civilization more advanced than ours) struggling with his interview recruitment into a mega-company. The story twisted and added to a final tragicomic experience vaguely similar happened to me, that of an interview group. Fortunately, the similarities stop there.
few months later, during my short summer holidays for newly hired, my little story was on the table by Claudio Nizzi, during an internship at fummetto Acquaviva, which he held together with Claudio Villa. A Villa managed to snatch a picture of Nathan Never that I still have hanging in your room in Nice carpio some hints about history told me it was quite well written, but was heavily adapted to draw a comic.
Two years later, in 2001, the Stage evening balloon Massimiliano Frezzato in Turin, I began the design of the first board of Group Dynamics .
My project was a stubborn but limited to a few pages. Stubborn as my participation newcomers to the competition for cartoonists of the Province of Cremona, organized by the Cartoon Andrea Pazienza, who then suggested the five boards that I had prepared. I came second. Then Geneva
Michele asked me to make a longer story, 44 pages at least, a challenge that I welcomed with enthusiasm.
For editorial reasons, however, the book was not made that year, 2004, in its place the story was published Group dynamics, with some adjustments, accompanied by a preview of what would come next year , Gaudeamus igitur . But what I'm doing the
long?!

All this to say that, last August 22, eleven years after the original story, I have finished the cycle of the adventures of Randolph!

In between there were various problems, including broken right shoulder and a kind of creative crisis in 2006, I left behind changing style, narrative technique and also register.
I am satisfied and I feel light, it was an interesting experience, I would do that, can condense in less time!
So many things I could have done better, but I want to consider as a time of transition and growth.

So, go to Lucca to late October 2010, with the last chapter of the adventures of Reed Randolph! And here's a preview here.

And now, there will be space and time for other projects, for example, that story of my visit to Angouleme ...
